All About Mrs. Whitehead

I am Mrs. Whitehead and teaching is my passion!  I absolutely love each and every one of my students here at LCHS!  I was once an eagle myself and in 2005 I graduated from LCHS as Valedictorian.  I went on to Eastern Kentucky University where I majored in Middle Grades Education (5-9).  While there I was in the Honors Program, Lambda Sigma Honors Society, and was also a member of the student KEA organization.  I graduated EKU in 2008 Suma Cum Laude.  I returned to EKU and received my Masters Degree in Library Science (P-12) in December 2010. I got married to Ricky Whitehead in October 2010 and we have two adorable dogs, Rocky (a Boxer) and Koby (a Yorkie)!  We recently expanded our little family to include our daughter Adyson Karley, who was born on January 19th.

• What did you participate in when you were a student at LCHS?  Cheerleading, Academic Team, National Honors Society, Yearbook Staff, and Newspaper Staff
• Favorite TV Show:  Jersey Shore
• Favorite Book: Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins (my favorite book in the series is "Catching Fire"
• Favorite Past Time:  reading-I have to love it I am a reading teacher!
